You get spoiled milk from a pampered cow

This was already posted to the tmbg community (which is where I found it), but I think it's worth a look from any They Might Be Giants fan who doesn't read that community. Two puppets (one of whom is a broom) tell old jokes to the tune of "With a Little Help from My Friends." You can't make that kind of thing up. Well, okay, I guess someone DID make it up, but that doesn't mean you or I could.

And here are two old Friday Fives that I thought were somewhat interesting (thanks to slfcllednowhere for alerting me to their presence):

1. What were some of the smells and tastes of your childhood? I remember my mom's garage always smelling like sawdust, and even now I think that's one of my favorite smells. As for tastes, crackers and grilled cheese were pretty big ones.
2. What did you have as a child that you do not think children today have? Free time. I'm sure a lot of kids today really DO have free time, but the only ones you really hear about are the ones who are involved in eighteen different activities before they turn five. While I'm sure the parents' intention isn't to stop their kids from ever having time to think, that's probably a common side effect.
3. What elementary grade was your favorite? I liked the second grade. That was the year when I had the most friends, as well as the source for a lot of the crazy stories I've shared here in the past.
4. What summer do you remember the best as a child? I remember the summers when I was forced to go to day camp, and not because I enjoyed them. I also have pretty vivid memories of the summer after ninth grade, which mostly consisted of reading Oz books and waiting for new ones to arrive in the mail. It was also when I attended my first Oz Convention.
5. What one piece of advice would you give to your younger self, and at what age? There are a lot of things I'd like to tell my younger self, but I really don't think I would have listened.

From last week:
1. What's your favourite TV network? The network I actually watch the most would probably be Fox, but I can't reasonably say that it's my favorite.
2. If you could create your own channel, what would it be? I don't think I'd want to limit it to any one concept. I'd probably just show whatever I felt like (and could afford to show, of course).
3. What TV show did you watch as a child, that you wish they would bring back? I can't really think of one, but then I didn't watch that much TV as a kid.
4. What show have you always hated, and wonder why they ever made such a dumb show? I don't even know where to start on this one.
5. What TV show's seasons would you buy on DVD? bethje already have all of the Simpsons seasons that they've released, and we'll certainly get Season 11 when it comes out. I wonder why there's such a delay. Right now, the ones I'd most like to get are the Captain N and Super Mario Bros. 3 sets. Quinn mentioned Monty Python's Flying Circus, and that's another one I wouldn't mind having.
